VKontakte launches option to control video recording with gestures

MOSCOW, Jun 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest social network VKontakte has launched a service of shooting videos up to 1 minute, which can be managed with gestures, the company said on Thursday in a statement.

“With the tools of the service, any user without special skills and expensive equipment will be able to create content with quality close to professional. One of the key features of making videos is control with AR mechanics. One can start recording or stop a video with special gestures,” VKontakte said.

A company spokesperson said the system can analyze more than 10 gestures that can control the process of shooting. The system can also segment a record. These options are available almost for all smartphones.

At the first stage, the service will be available on invitation, but later will be offered to all.
